穿越巴黎

  二战期间,纳粹开进了法国,巴黎成了被占领区,物资紧张,出现了黑市交易。  一天晚上,宵禁前,一对夫妇来到了小酒馆,之后又来了一位中年壮男;丈夫嫉妒妻子与中年壮男搭讪,于是打了妻子的耳光,妻子离去,所有的人都沉默。当中年壮男准备离开时,却被丈夫拦住了,丈夫请他吃晚饭。  晚饭时,所有的人都在怀念有猪肉的日子——对话很有趣,却也伤感。丈夫得知中年壮男是一名油漆匠的时候——法语的油漆匠与油画家是同一个单词,这也就是误会出现的原因,就向他交了底,说自己是走私猪肉的,需要找一位同伴帮忙,主要工作是在宵禁期间,从巴黎的一端用行李箱转移猪肉到另一端,为次日的黑市交易做准备。‘油漆匠’很感兴趣,两人达成共识。  两人来到Louis的店里搬猪肉,中年壮男突然发飙,要求Louis付“遮口费”,否则就叫警察,他采取的手段是系列的,且极其流氓(指意识形态)的。所有的人都被他打败了,Louis赶快掏钱送瘟神,两人继而开始了精彩的穿越巴黎之行。  第21届威尼斯国际电影节(1956)  沃尔皮杯-最佳男演员  布尔维尔  第21届威尼斯国际电影节(1956)  金狮奖(入围)  克劳特·乌当-拉哈  第11届英国电影和电视艺术学院奖(1958)  电影奖-最佳外国男演员(提名)  让·迦本…

  根据胡万春同名小说改编。某钢铁厂的工段长杜师傅,有两个儿子:大儿子福新是一个钳工,与杜师傅同在一个车间工作;小儿子福民刚从技术学校毕业回来,即将走上工作岗位。可是就在当天晚上,杜师傅发现福民对劳动有不正确的看法,追求生活享受。福民看不起工人,说工人的手像锉刀看见爸爸送他的新帽子,嫌太土气,怕压坏了他的飞机头。杜师傅意识到自己过去对福民在生活上照顾太多,对他的思想教育放松了。恰巧,福民分配到杜师傅领导的车间当见习技术员杜师傅为了帮助儿子克服缺点,把儿子培养成工人阶级的接班人,就和李厂长商量,决定让福民到车间当工人,以便在劳动中锻炼提高。这一天,福民来到车间,杜师傅叫福新教他敲榔头,练基本功。福民心不在焉,敲疼了手,狠狠地将榔头摔在地上,不干了。杜师傅叫他拾起榔头,责备地说:“你还不害臊!工人丢榔头,就是战士丢武器,你想做逃兵!”福民回到家里,向母亲倾诉了自己的委屈。福民妈在旧社会生活了半辈子,吃尽了苦头,但她还存在旧思想的残余,听说厂里让儿子去当工人,觉得不像话。于是她请来了老母亲、大姨妈和小姨妈,联合起来“围攻”杜师傅,可是未能如愿。“围攻”失败后,福民情绪低落,赌气把飞机头剃成平头,跟妈妈说厂里呆不下去了,要到外面找工作。福民妈怕儿子离家出走,硬要杜师傅找李厂长说说,仍然让福民做技术员。杜师傅看到要帮助福民首先要打通福民妈的思想,就写了一张字条叫福民妈去找李厂长。福民妈来到李厂长家,李厂长说自己的女儿小玲主动要求到农村扎根落户,有人说小玲是我们的独生女,我又是厂长,应该让女儿享享福,要是按照这个想法孩子就会变成懒汉。这时,小玲收到妈妈从外地寄来的“麦种”和信,妈妈在信上嘱咐小玲,要在实际劳动中锻炼成一个有文化的新农民。福民妈看到这一切深受教育,她没有替儿子讲情就尴尬地走了。福民虽然留在车间劳动,但总觉得英雄无用武之地。这时厂里开展技术革新,车间正研究双层地辊的设计图,福民认为这是大显身手的机会,于是闭门造车,设计了一张不切实际的草图,后经福新帮助,双层地辊的设计终于成功。在试制中,缺少两个皮带盘,杜师傅叫福新和福民分头到废料堆里去找,而福民竟将转炉车间的两个皮带盘拿来了。杜师傅严厉地批评了他的错误。福民通过这一系列事情,认识到自己的思想确实不对头。从此以后,福民在劳动中认真地进行锻炼,在大家的帮助下,提高了思想,改正了缺点。…

The film starts with verse 67, “O somma luce…” and continues to the end. “O Somma luce” recalls the first words uttered by Empedocles in Danièle Huillet and Jean-Marie Straub’s 1987 The Death of Empedocles—“O himmlisch Licht!…” (O heavenly light!). This extract from Hölderlin’s text is also inserted into their 1989 film Cézanne.  “O somma luce” invokes utopia, or better still “u-topos,” Dante, Holderlin, Cézanne… the camera movement, recalling Sisyphus, in the film’s long shots, suggests its difficulty.  In O somma luce, with Giorgio Passerone’s Dante and the verse that concluded the Divine Comedy, we find at the extremity of its possibilities, the almost happy speech of a man who has just left earthly paradise, who tries to fully realize the potential of his nature. Between the two we find the story of the world. The first Jean-Marie Straub film shot in HD.  So singular are the textual working methods of Straub-Huillet, and now Straub on his own, that it is hard to grasp how far reaching they are. Direction is a matter of words and speech, not emotions and action. Nothing happens at the edges, everything is at the core and shines from there alone.  During the rehearsals we sense a slow process by which ingredients (a text, actors, an intuition) progress towards cohesiveness. It is, forgive the comparison, like the kneading of dough. It is the assembling and working of something until it becomes something else… and, in this case, starts to shine. Actually it’s very simple, it’s just a question of opening up to the light material that has been sealed up. Here, the process of kneading is to bring to life and then reveal. The material that is worked on is speech. So it is speech that becomes visible—nothing else. “Logos” comes to the cinema.  The mise en scène of what words exactly?  The process of revealing, “phainestai”; “phainomenon,” the phenomenon, is what take splace, what becomes visible to the eye.  Is “Straubie” Greece?  This mise en scène of speech, which goes beyond a close reading of the chosen text, is truly comes from a distant source.—Barbara Ulrich…
